Digitalization is a trend that is increasingly permeating urban systems. The multiple effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have accelerated this process, making it a defining issue for the future of cities.
In February 2020, Resilient Cities Network (R-Cities) and Visa announced that they would collaborate for the development of the Latin American region. Following up on this commitment, they created the Resilient Cities Shaping a Digital World program which promotes the creation of digital solutions to address the greatest resilience challenges facing Latin American cities.
This Forum seeks to communicate the results of the program and make available the knowledge and practical learnings acquired during the its first edition, focusing on the on the work completed in the search of digital solutions with the State of Jalisco in Mexico, the Metropolitan District of Quito in Ecuador and the Municipality of Salvador in Brazil.
